Dehghan is a friendly man but he is not a very good lecturer, he mostly reads the powerpoints in class and assigns too much homework. What many of us have experienced is if you ask him a question during lecture he does not answer what you asked but answers something else, this happens quite often. In his office hours he is helpful and considerate but again does not answer what you ask but something else.
That said he is easy to talk to and is one of the most generous grader I had so far so he is excellent choice if you want a good GPA.

Prof. Dehghan was a decent professor for 211 and 212 but he struggled with 255 and 295 particularly with 295 probably because it was his first time teaching this lab. For 255/295 I would not recommend him, I think Poshtan is best for 255/295. I think with time dehghan will get better in 255/295 but for the time being take someone else. 295 is a hard lab so I don't blame him too much.

Deghan is a super kind man and is very knowledgable in the field. He takes the time to explain all the concept and anything that may be unclear. I never felt uncomfortable or stupid for asking a question that may have been obvious and he always took the time to make sure I understood and if I didn't, he would try to explain it in a different way. The lab itself was pretty nice and easy to do cause Deghan rewrote the lab manual so it was easy to connect the circuit and he took out a lot of unnecessary text. The lab reports were also easy to do and Deghan told us what to expect on the final and allowed a full page cheat sheet so it wasn't that hard to prepare or do well on the final.

Dehghan is a super friendly professor, always a pleasure to go to class even late in the afternoon. I felt that the homework load was fair, on the lighter side, nothing too difficult, and it prepared you for the exams completely. Lectures were never too dense or fast to follow, as an EE, a lot of the material for the class was review, but I think professor Dehghan did a great job covering the review material for the MEs that hadn't seen it in years.

Teaches everything needed for future EE classes, and it helps to learn from him. Expect 3-4+ hrs of hw a week, but it will be worth it

This was my first quarter taking professor Dehghan and he was easily one of my favorite professors that I have taken a course with at Cal Poly. He comes to class with a great attitude everyday, is very helpful in the lab in regards to the circuit diagrams and word documents he prepares that outline steps, and it is easy to ask him questions if you are confused about any procedure or concept. I would highly recommend taking him if you are unsure whether to take his course.

It is true that a lot of homework is assigned, but it is relavent work that is worth doing because it is amazing preparation for the midterms. Without a doubt, recommend this professor for this class. You'll learn a lot and be prepared for future courses.

This lab was the first to utilize high enough voltages for induction motors and open-circuit tests. Dehghan prepared us for each lab by demonstrating its purpose, explaining necessary safety precautions, and providing information about its circuit to complete the lab in an efficient manner. I enjoyed learning from this professor and performing each lab.

Dehghan is probably my favorite professor at Cal Poly. This is his first year teaching at Cal Poly and he was all in for it. I took him for Circuits 2 and 3(A in both). He is very good with student feedback, very nice during office hours(go to them!) and he cares very much about his students. I would recommend taking him if you are trying to learn a lot. He frequently assigns hard homework that often takes hours, but they teach you a lot and his exams are like his homework. If you take his class and are struggling, don't be afraid to ask for help or go to office hours! He will do the most he can to help you succeed. 10/10 recommend. Also he has a huge curve that greatly benefits everyone.

Professor Deghan is a very kind and fair professor. I think this is one of the best classes on campus. It felt very balanced in that the teaching was fast paced but doable along with just the right amount of homework to get the point across without being too difficult or repetitive. His tests were clear and straightforward so that studying for them wasn't a struggle. I highly recommend taking Deghan for a circuits class at least once. He hosts a ton of office hours but I was never able to attend due to conflicts.
